Kanji
Segawa began his early training with his mother,
Erika Akoh, in Japan. He studied ballet with Kan
Horiuchi and Ju Horiuchi at Unique Ballet Theatre
in Tokyo. He was granted a Japanese Government
Fellowship to train at The Ailey School in NYC.
He is a member of Battleworks Dance Company, and
has performed with Mark Morris Dance Group, Jennifer
Muller/The Works and Alvin Ailey II, and has worked
with choreographers such as Jessica Lang, Earl
Mosely and Igal Perry. He has performed in the
musical CATS at C.C. Playhouse in Tennessee and
has appeared in The Metropolitan Opera and English
National Opera in London, UK. Mr. Segawa first
performed with Aszure & Artists in 2002..
