Cherice
Barton has been closely involved in her sister's
company, Aszure & Artists, since 2002. Her
performance career spans over 15 years in over
30 countries worldwide, having spent 10 years
teaching master classes and performing as a soloist
for the internationally acclaimed Les Ballets
Jazz de Montreal and Alberta Ballet Company in
Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, and North
America. She is excited to be back in New York
City after spending a year and a half in Las Vegas,
where she was the choreographic repetiteur/resident
choreographer of Le Reve at the Wynn Resort Hotel
and Casino. Cherice worked closely with Cirque
Du Soleil’s director Franco Dragone and
his company, Dragone, on the development of this
acrobatic, dance and aquatic show, and now tours
internationally as a dance evaluator for the casting
department. Prior to living in Las Vegas, Cherice
was based in New York City and worked as an assistant/
associate to many renowned directors
and choreographers including Vincent Paterson,
John Carrafa, Mia Michaels, and Aszure Barton.
Along with setting works on students from New
York's Juilliard School, Cherice has been invited
to teach master classes and adjudicate at numerous
Dance Conventions in Mexico, Canada and the United
States.
